General Purchasing Information

MCL 5.1

The latest release of Mac OSX native MCL (5.1) is available for purchase. MCL 5.1 pricing is based on a single user license and includes 12 months of technical support and patches. Annual support can be purchased after the first anniversary of the initial license purchase.

CLIM

CLIM pricing is based on a single user license with an optional support contract and a one-time redistribution license. The support contract is per contact person, so a company might purchase a number of licenses and just one support contract as long as one inidividual is designated as its contact.

A combined CLIM source code and site license is also available. This allows you to deploy as many CLIM licenses as you need within your organization. It also provides you will full access to CLIM sources, but you are responsible for the confidentiality and non-dissemination of the source files.

MCL 5.1

MCL 5.1 is a Mac OSX native version of MCL. The MCL 5.1 Single User License gives one person the right to use MCL for program development purposes.

MCL Redistribution License

This is the license for redistributing MCL applications for both PowerPC and 68K platforms. Product package includes:

• Object Code Redistribution License Agreement

N.B. With this license, the MCL compiler must be excised from distributed applications.

CLIM

The CLIM 2.0 Single User License gives one person the right to use CLIM for program development purposes.

The CLIM Annual Support Contract gives a designated contact person the ability to obtain technical support on CLIM for a period of one year. An organization may choose to purchase multiple copies of the CLIM 2.0 Single User License together with a single CLIM Annual Support Contract for one designated contact person.

The CLIM Redistribution License is a one-time fee that conveys the right to distribute unlimited copies of CLIM in applications built using MCL. (The MCL redistribution right is licensed separately.)

MCL and CLIM Site Licenses

Site licenses for MCL are available on an annual subscription basis with licensee automatically receiving all MCL updates released during the subscription period. Licensee is granted a license to duplicate the software and documentation received as provided for in the site license agreement. The annual renewal fee is 25% of the initial license fee, and the reinstatement fee for lapsed licenses is 50% of the initial license fee.

N.B.: Site license "renewal" and "reinstatement" is for receiving continued updates and upgrades, and is not needed for ongoing use of version(s) received during a site license period.

Macintosh Common Lisp Limited Territory License
License for up to 10 copies of MCL (software and documentation) distributed at Licensee's site within a 25 mile radius. Includes one (1) master copy of MCL software.

Macintosh Common Lisp Unlimited Territory License
License for unlimited copies of MCL (software and documentation) distributed at Licensee's site within a 25 mile radius. Includes two (2) master copies of MCL software.

Macintosh Common Lisp Worldwide License
License for unlimited copies of MCL (software and documentation) distributed at Licensee's sites worldwide. Includes two (2) master copies of MCL software.

MCL Initial License Fee Credits:
(1) Limited Territory License - Licensees that have previously purchased 10 or more copies of MCL, may reduce the initial license fee by 50%.
(2) Unlimited Territory and Worldwide License - Licensees that have previously purchased 40 or more copies of MCL may reduce the initial license fee by 50%.

CLIM Site & Source Code License:
The combined CLIM site and source code license allows you to deploy as many copies of CLIM as necessary within your organization. It also provides you will full access to CLIM sources, but you are responsible for the confidentiality and non-dissemination of the source files.

Use the General Order Form to purchase MCL and CLIM products for use by individuals, companies, and organizations. This form covers individual licenses, redistribution licenses, and site licenses.

Educational Order Form

Use the Educational Order Form to purchase MCL and CLIM products for use by educational institutions. This form covers individual licenses, redistribution licenses, and site licenses.

Student Order Form

Full-time students should use the Student Order Form to obtain discounted prices on MCL products (CLIM is not available at student prices). Your order must be placed by mail or fax and must include a copy of your current student identification card
